If you say truth is one, one can accept. if you say all religions are one, it shows short of scholarship.

Islam and Christianity claim to have exclusive truth. Either only one of them is true or both have only partial truth. How can a religion which is based on the Nicene creed which states that believing in Christ is a must to reach heaven and rest all go to hell ,be true. Pl donot do disservice to Dharma with this kind of unintelligent statements…

what Sri Ramakrishna would have said is Bhakti (irrespective of the God) can take you to moksham…like our Bhakti yoga….Not all religion will take you to moksha…especially with such a krodham those religions preach.

While this thought makes lot of sense, things that worked for millennia will not work now, as far as survival of Dharma is concerned. To me, other than decentralization, a key reason why Dharma evolved to this sublime levels and survived 1000 yrs of assault is Varna system.

There were prescribed swadharma for each Varna. By practicing it people contributed to its survival. Also there was a guaranteed livelihood linked to it, which made sense to practice it.

The Brahmins had the swadharma of studying & propagating it. When a significant section of society did just that, generation after generation, we can imagine how much of evolution in ideas take place, embellishing the Dharma. Hence India had been a power house R&D on philosophy giving raise to 12 major Dharshanas

Not anymore. A body of knowledge thrives only when it is practiced by masses. Modern way of living has almost completely replaced Varna, Swadharma and the economic lively hood associated with that. The structured delivery system of Hindu philosophies has also vanished. It is left to seekers only. We know people with mumukshuthvam are faw & few. Among them fewer are inclined towards social engagement.

With there is no need in daily life, masses dont even know the availability of this knowledge. Couple this with violent forces like organized Abrahamic religions, Modern social science thoughts, Colonized Indian mind…there is a real chance that the demography will tilt and when that happens, Af Pak Bangla, we know what happens to the survival of Dharma…

Hence, it is not wise to sit that Dharma will prevail one day! We need efforts to make it known, make available and onboard as many. There institutional efforts is the order of the day. Who better than Indian Govt?

Yes bro, I agree with you, but whatever mistakes happened in the past we should correct it, because our religion is a wonderful gift to the universe, if we humen race want to be continually live on the earth we have to save the sanatan hindu religion ️

Yes , indeed in recent times the Hindus themselves are more critical of their religion than the non-Hindus ! The trend started primarily because during the British period those Hindus , mostly from their upper castes , who got English education vied with each other in projecting themselves as Englishmen ( surprisingly this was never true about the culturally devout Hindu women ! ) in dress , mannerism and speech ! By doing so they got a better status in the eyes of their British masters. The men progenie of such “refined” Hindus continued to be caste in the same mould and that continued on a large scale and holds true even today ! Today for the sake of getting well- paid jobs , particularly in large numbers in B.P.O.’s and even in central/state government , not only the middle-middle class but also the lower-middle class are clamouring to send their children to English medium school ! Thus they are being brought under the Abrahamic and non-Sanskrut environment

We can’t and shouldn’t selectively quote texts to suit our comforts. Yes, “yadaa yadaa hi dharmasya …”, but also

dharma-eva hato hanti dharmo rakshati rakshitah |
tasmaaddharmo na hantavyo maa no dharmo hatovadhit ||

Expecting dharma to take care of us while we sit back and do nothing is not what Hinduism teaches. In fact, it is the exact opposite of our tradition. From Mahabharata to Manusmriti to various Puraanas, everywhere, the teachings state that duty (in terms of being dhaarmic) comes before everything. Then, and only then, does dharma protect us.

If we sit back and do nothing, then we are the reason behind the “dharmasya glaani”, and we will be wiped out, exactly as the third line (of that very same sloka you paritally quote) says: “vinaashaaya cha dushkritaam”. RIght now, that’s us.
