Actually, Giardano Bruno was pseudo-scientist and a mystic. And Catholic church never taught earth was flat. I am surprised as a European, you simply cater to these kind of non-sense without fact-checking.

Jewish Mysticism talks quite extensively about about the universe, astrology and the Divine Feminine. The Zohar (preeminent book of Kabbalah/Jewish mysticism) describes the earth as a “globe” and the concept of the earth spinning on its axis so that “it is day on one side of the world and night on the other.” I love interfaith study and exploration. I do quite a bit of it and especially love seeing where religions and spiritual traditions interconnect.

Christians have to stop lying! Here it says the earth doesn’t move and the earth is flat.

Joshua 10:12: Then Joshua spoke to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel:
“Sun, stand still over Gibeon; And Moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.”
Joshua 13: So the sun stood still, And the moon stopped, Till the people had revenge Upon their enemies.
“The Earth is permanently established. It will not move” [PSLAMS-93/1,96/10 and 104/5]

“Again, the devil taketh him up unto an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;” Matt 4:8.

How is possible to see “all the kingdoms of the world” if the earth is spherical?

They don’t talk of the universe because they don’t know how, when and why it all started and worst they don’t know what their God was doing before this creation.

But why one has to keep suffering until so called Church changes its understanding and evolves? Why can’t truth be respected and idea that something true exists beyond a book which is created as a collection of work of humans, limiting the content to the knowledge possessed by those humans? People who are non believers are many times deprived of existence and how long one has to wait till Church has learnt basic truth about the world?
