“Why Indians had to suffer so much for the last 1000 years when they were generally good-natured and did not attack others?” someone asked Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. It was a question which troubled me too. He replied on the lines that Indians had not done their job in analyzing their enemy.
Why did Prithviraj Chauhan for example let Mohammad Ghori off in spite of knowing that he had not stuck to any rules of war? The young Indian raja obviously had not analyzed what made his attacker so unprincipled. He didn’t seem to be aware about the tenets of Islam, which are so different from his own Hindu Dharma.
The situation has not changed much. Today, there is still very little clarity about the enemy in spite of Swami Vivekananda or Sri Aurobindo seeing where the danger comes from. Vivekananda stated that every Hindu who leaves the Hindu pale is not one Hindu less but one enemy more. How? Is it possible that a religion makes people into enemies? This surely needs to be analyzed.
There are big differences between Hindu Dharma on one side, and Islam and Christianity on the other, which we usually are not aware of. We need to know them and have the courage to point them out, in the interest of all humanity.
The first big difference is this:
While Sanatana Dharma and the Vedas are most ancient and the foundation for the great, benign Indian culture, Christianity and Islam are newcomers and they brutally destroyed existing cultures and replaced them with a rigid belief system.
The cultures of Inkas, Mayas, Aztecs, Egypt, Babylon, Greece, Persia, Afghanistan – they all have disappeared and their history was falsified. In what is now Pakistan and Bangladesh, the ancient Hindu culture has disappeared, too. India also has suffered immensely, millions were killed and a treasure trove of knowledge went up in flames when libraries with innumerable texts were burnt.
But are religions not meant to be beneficial? Is religion not about God, the cause for our existence, and man’s relation to that great Being? About worshipping that great Being and surrendering to it? Is there not even the right to religious freedom enshrined in Constitutions and endorsed by the United Nations? Why then all this brutality? What went wrong?
It’s easy to see but nobody wants to look that way: The reason is that belief in improbable claims about the “Will of God” was enforced with violence in the beginning, later with indoctrination of children and severe punishment for criticizing or leaving the religion. Over the centuries naturally the numbers of their followers swelled. Very few pointed out what went wrong, because it put their lives at risk. Those religions literally killed dissent.
We need to go back in time to see more clearly what went wrong:
The Vedas, the most ancient knowledge about the origin of the universe and our own existence, postulate one great Being (usually called Brahman) from whom this universe emanated and who permeates all parts of it. It means, Brahman is also within us, though veiled by thoughts and other mind activity due to his Maya Shakti. The ancient Rishis analyzed this creation well, and discovered essential powers for our existence, the devas. They “saw” that the microcosm is like the macrocosm; they reached out into the universe, by diving deep into themselves, mapped the sky and left profound knowledge for posterity in all fields of human endeavor – profound knowledge that was present in cosmic consciousness from the start and was revealed to them due to their intense Tapas.
There is ample evidence that Indian civilization influenced large parts of the globe in ancient times. Over the long history of millions of years (according to Indian texts which should be taken seriously), different forms of worship to different deities, who were seen as a representation of the ONE Brahman, developed, but there was no friction between the different groups. They existed side by side. Nobody insisted that only one way needed to be followed.
This changed when emperor Ashoka wanted all people in his kingdom to follow only one of the Indian sages, Gautama Buddha. Buddha had died long before Ashoka was born, but in several councils, a Canon with his sayings was compiled, and this was meant to be followed by Ashoka’s subjects. He even sent missionaries to other countries.
So Ashoka broke with the tradition that everyone was free to choose his way to realize Brahman as his own essence and established what the British later called “Buddhism” as the best way. Anyone, who splits away and wants followers, naturally needs to emphasize that his creed is “better”. And if others are not convinced, it is followed up with some “pressure” if one has power. Later Adi Shankara challenged Buddhists in debates and most Indians came back to their original, less dogmatic Dharma.
Meanwhile, far away from India, and only some 1700 years ago, the Roman emperor decided to make a small Christian sect into a state religion. He must have felt it would be advantageous if all his subjects believed the same thing. In short: the messiah for whom the Jews were waiting, has come already in the person of Jesus Christ but was not recognized and even killed by the Jews.
However, this sect showed a very authoritative and violent streak, as soon as it got state patronage. It demolished existing temples, burnt books and murdered even a famous woman philosopher Hypatia in Egypt. And soon Christians stomped over Middle East, North Africa and Europe, forcing the new belief on the population.
Why were they so intolerant? The reason was that they claimed that the great true God, the creator of the universe, the “Father in heaven”, has finally (2000 years ago) sent down to earth his only son Jesus Christ to save humans from the original sin, and all must follow what Jesus has said. And what did Jesus say? He allegedly said that nobody reaches the Father except via his son. So the Church claims, belief in Jesus is absolutely necessary to be saved from eternal hellfire.
A few centuries later, a similar story was repeated: Mohammad, an Arab of the 7th century, declared that the one true Allah has spoken to him via Angel Gabriel and what he said must be followed by all human beings. And what does Allah want from humans? He wants all to believe in Mohammad as the last prophet, to whom He, Allah, has communicated his wishes. And his greatest wish apart from believing in Him and His prophet: He wants his followers to fight (do Jihad) till all believe only in Allah. Those, who resist, will suffer terribly in hell for all eternity.
Mohammad himself showed the way how to fight. He attacked for example Jewish tribes, butchered their men even after surrender, took their women as slave concubines and their property as booty. After his death, his followers stomped over the Middle East, North Africa, into Spain and parts of Eastern Europe, and forced those, who had earlier been forced to become Christians, now to become Muslims. The conquest was bloody and highly “successful” due to terrible cruelty.
Muslim invaders also stomped into India and left a trail of bloodshed. Yet here, they could not exterminate the ancient culture because the new creed was simply no match for it. Yet due to the incredible brutality, Muslim invaders made big inroads into Indian society and many Hindus converted to Islam and later, under the Portuguese and British, to Christianity.
Even now in independent India, Christianity and Islam have not given up their attempt to eliminate Hindu culture. The different Churches do it with enormous vigour, lots of money and sadly, great success, through “projects”, like the Joshua project. Islam does it by having many children, by love Jihad and also by trying to convince Hindus and Christians of the ‘superiority’ of Islam over a religion which “worships monkeys and rats”. Whoever objects to being pressured to convert, risks even being brutally killed.
One thing has become clear over the centuries. Christianity and Islam are dangerous for “others” and also dangerous for insiders who are not fully conform and express doubts about ‘the only truth’. Islam and Christianity killed tens of millions common citizens, only because they didn’t pay allegiance to their religion or rather “cult”.
Today, India has over 200 million Muslims and probably much more than 40 million Christians, as many of the converts keep their Hindu names for caste benefits. Are they India’s enemies, as Swami Vivekananda hinted?
Enemy is a strong word. Yet if those who converted believe what they are taught, they will definitely look down on Hindus. It seeps into their psyche that “they” (Hindus) don’t accept the true God. When I was a child, even Protestants were looked down upon by us Catholics. We Catholics ‘knew’ that we were right and others wrong, and heathen were very wrong.
In the 1980s, I spent some time in Shantivanam, a Christian ashram, which was very liberal to us foreigners who were friendly towards Hinduism and Buddhism. Yet once I heard Bede Griffiths, a Benedictine monk and the head of the ashram, talk to Indian nun novices. I was shocked how strongly he indoctrinated them that they alone have the true faith, and questioned him afterwards. His reply, ‘I have to strengthen their faith so that they know where the border to Hinduism lies.’
Hindus are not bothered about borders. They tend to accept all faiths. Whatever helps to connect with one’s essence is welcome. Yet this is not the mindset of followers of those religions, which need borders to survive. Hindus usually don’t understand this mindset. They expect common sense and brush aside claims that they will burn in hellfire if they don’t convert. They can’t imagine that anyone could seriously believe such nonsense.
But they are wrong. Many people do believe it. Such belief is dangerous and highly divisive. It leads to hate crimes. Since there is no proof and there can never be proof, such dangerous belief needs to be called out and criticized. It must NOT be taught to kids.
Here is where Hindus didn’t do their duty and still don’t do their duty. It may look cool or secular to let everyone believe what he wants, but such attitude is foolish when it threatens your survival.
While Christians have stopped killing in recent centuries, Muslims have not stopped. It goes on daily. And those terrorists genuinely believe that they do the right thing and will get a ’higher status in paradise’(Q 4.95). Which youth would throw away his life in a suicide attack if he wasn’t convinced that he will be better off after killing Kafirs?
The situation is serious. It is bad enough that pious Christians look down on Hindus. But it is even worse that pious Muslims not only look down on others, but also can, with a straight face, tell lies to us (Taqqiya) and even harm and kill us without having any bangs of conscience. It’s allowed. The usual counter that Quran 5.32 forbids killing even one person is a deception. First, Allah addresses the “Children of Israel” in this verse (obviously taken from Jewish texts) and second, a person who does mischief is exempted and can be murdered. And what bigger mischief can there be in the eyes of a believer than not believing in Allah and his prophet?
Fortunately, there are many who have lost faith. Especially Christians get out of the churches in droves, ever since heresy is not punished any longer. Many Muslims, too, have doubts. A Muslim acquaintance recently estimated that even in Saudi Arabia about 10 percent are atheists. There are numerous videos by ex-Muslims on the net who criticize their former belief openly. It’s dangerous for them. The social pressure is great and their own family may kill them. Moreover, in many countries apostasy is punishable by death.
And here again, Hindus don’t do their job. They don’t support those who leave their dogmatic faith. And worse, the government even encourages people to stay in their religion by giving ‘minorities’ benefits.
What can be done? Let’s all think about it. But one thing is needed for sure: we need to be honest and not afraid to expose the harmful aspects of Christianity and Islam, both of which make no secret that they want to eliminate Hinduism.
Everyone has the right to worship the One Supreme. This is guaranteed by the right to religious freedom. It makes sense, as there must be a great Intelligence and Power at the base of this incredible universe. But nobody has the right to make baseless claims that the Supreme loves some and doesn’t love others and even throws the majority of humans into eternal hellfire – all those who do not accept that only ONE person (there are two…) has received the full truth. This doesn’t make sense. And it has brought so much suffering upon humankind.
Obviously such claim (about one specific person needing to be followed), is not true. Yet for long, Hindus couldn’t counter it for fear of their lives. But now Hindus slowly find their feet. Many realize the immense value of their heritage and that they were cheated in believing that it has no worth.
Will they also have the courage to insist that their heritage is respected and taught to students in India and all over the world? The insights of the Rishis have never been proven wrong when tested, and have inspired science, art and harmony in society.
It’s no virtue to let falsehood spread.

Namaste Maria Maam
Thank you .
Shree Sita Ram Goel writes ” Finally, the Christians killed the lady savant, Hypatia, subjected her dead body to all sorts of abominable insult, and dragged it through the streets, till every bit of flesh was removed from her bones.” (History of Hindu Christian Encounters). Maam would you like to read the book? I’ll Email it to you.
I’ll share your message with everyone (in spite of frowns from English educated Hindus).
Thanks, may you always be very happy and healthy.

Thanks
Thank you, Ayushman. may you also be always happy and healthy. thank you also for the offer, but i have several books here which i didn’t get down yet to read, so maybe not at present.
A great article। Liked it। There is up rising among Hindus but our power brokers will crush it। Unlike Islamic countries where decent my minorities is suppressed brutally here majority is suppressed brutally which you are witness to। Sonia led UPA had drafted a targetted communal violence bill which was to suppress upper castes and force sc sts to join either Islam or Christianity।
Very nice Maria! Very nice ending.
I wanted to take some school kids who are Sikhs to gurdwara for lunger on Gurpurab, so I asked the older Punjabi teacher what she thought. When I asked her isn’t she Punjabi, quick came the reply, yes I am a punjabi but I am a Christian. It was said with lot of pride and distinction vis a vis others. She has been teachers for many many years and it must be so much better to join the “believers” probably for also social status, community and financial reasons. The School only takes strong christians as its board members and gives preference to christians for teaching positions. There are bible studies and chapel for staff and children. Scholarships are mostly for christian children and children from Somalia, Yemen etc. I wanted to say to the Punjabi teacher but she lost a great tradition and why not look at Gurunanak’s teachings just as she follows Jesus’s teaching or even Jesus. But it will be foolish to come in the eye which I am already due to my other utterings. Stefan’s family friend Hartmuth( Pastor cum artist) who comes twice to India from Germany and stay at Stefan’s mum’s, said when at Woodstock he was not just teacher of art but also the Chaplin and taught religious studies for many years. He said with a glee that he went full force in his teachings and did not leave any opportunity out for sharing his beliefs. I also wonder how progressive and open minded teachers will be if all that they use is a closed minded dogma to live with no genuine enquiry into other traditions. When I told Hartmuth that I heard that some German missionaries stole the Vedas, he said to the affect that I was out of my mind. He for the past many years tells Stefan to make art and glorify God and that should be his main mission. The Christian influences are also pretty anti family and ego enhancers, I have greatly experienced and suffered under it. A marriage with a true believer is meant to serve the missions and serve all full timers. Once I told Stefan’s mother that he rarely comes to see any of my relatives her question was why, do they expect him to?. Christians for most part are otherwise good people. But I mostly feel quite alienated and want to keep my children out of the grip of the christian evangelical dogma in the midst of many many flying monkeys of my inlaws.

Excellent. Thank you Maria.
Namaskar Maria,
Thank you for such a thoughtful piece. We Hindus really must take care to stand for the truth. It is sad that other faiths do not respect and value the truth spoken by our sages, but we cannot in our tolerance allow those faiths to tear us down.
I believe the tide is changing, many people are seeing the wisdom of Hinduism, both inside and outside of India, and slowly Hindus voices are being heard in regards to the unfair treatment they are receiving from members of the Abrahamic faiths. Sanatana Dharma has withstood what many faiths have succumbed to, and it will continue to do so.
Keep up the marvelous work.
Great post Maria ji. with which your expressed the relationship of aimak relations with India and sanatan dharm and the mistakes we make while accepting religions other than our own. Your writing seems to be at another level! Take a bow!
Worth reading..Humanity is the essence of life but in some religions the same is replaced by violence and forceful false acceptance of superiority despite being so called minority.
True to the fact.
Great piece Maria Ji. We can’t bring back that lost time but we can right the wrong. We can retrieve what belongs to us. Ayodhya verdict is a prime example. Now,we will have our Ram Mandir back after 5-6 centuries. Similarly we can retrieve our other lost things if not all. I’ve heard there are many texts and books in Germany (though not more after collapse of Nazi Germany), Czechoslovakia, Russia and Greece. Hope we can get them back by using our diplomatic influence on these countries.
As on earlier occasions you have analysed the problem correctly. Indians generally are lethargic in taking actions and also in thinking. They’ll try to push the things under the carpet till somebody is at their neck. Some people call it a slavery syndrome. But even before the so-called “slavery period” their community-behaviour was no better. Besides, the community-life of Hindus is unlike those of the Muslims or Christians. This is our weakness as well as strength. I do agree that an individual’s behaviour may change the fate of the community. Our rulers and the public by and large give the opponent every opportunity to save his life. Sarvarkar holds this responsible for the failure of 1857 revolt. Savarkar has also written as to why conversion needs to be stopped. Had we listened to his voice we would not handed over our school and college text-books to largely Christians or their sponsors. I wish your exhortations to impel at least some Hindus to realise what is virtuous. I am pained to see that there is hardly any discussion amongst the Hindu boys and girls about what is virtuous or vicious. They largely do not understand what is dharmic. It is our failure as a generation.

I have just published this article and its translation into Spanish in my blog. There, among others, I wrote these comments:
Maria asks “What can be done?”. To me is quite clear: one of the most important things to be done is contributing to undress these two wolves-religions of their love/peace sheep dress. At the same time than highlighting the eternal truths that nowdays only Dharmic traditions contain, embody and enliven. May all Hindus revive their genuine and deserved pride on the wisest culture still alive in the world: their own! Om Namah Shivaya!
Thanks Maria for calling a spade a spade. Thanks for pointing out things that so much conditioning in our minds has blinded us to see and continues to blind millions in the world. Thanks for being brave in a global lie that has become the cradle of deception and the promoter of the political correctness at the cost of the truth. Thanks for raising the voice for Dharma.
I think unless india is declared a Hindu nation Hindu minds will be always in confusion . To unite hindu ,to save hindus, Hindu need a hindu nation .We all need chancha on this to save hindus.
Thank you Maria for your valuable contribution. I want to tweet later parts of your comment. You expressed it so well: well deserved pride on the wisest culture still alive…
Maria JI, your thought is loud and clear as always!
One Adi Shankara, one Vivekananda emerged in in the hard times in our past. My only expectation is, how many people like Modi, Rajiv Dixit, Maria Wirth and so on… needed this country more to defend our legacy?
Pathetically, this country is even fought for it’s own almighty’s birth place land to build a temple through court whereas that is not the case in other Abrahamic religions’ countries to do so. They just snatch it. The most misinterpreted word ‘Secularism’ has done all the spoil sport!
The unity of Hindus are kept at stake all these years, however, a trivial change is taking place now-a-days which is not at all enough to restore our legacy.
People like you always strive at the best level to establish the greatness of this country. Mark my words, until and unless the unification of Hindus are not achieved, I am afraid we could succeed in this. Unfortunately, we have enemies among us. We need to weed out these people first before re-establish our legacy. Maria ji correct if am wrong.
Jaya Jaya Shankara! Hara Hara Shankara!
enlightening article based on objective analysis
Adi Shankara came 2500 years ago to enlighten those (Hindus) who have strayed away from our ancient Vedic dharma. Dayanand Saraswati showed up 146 years ago to do the same (back to the Vedas), both were assassinated by Hindus for the cause.
“Swami Dayananda Saraswati is certainly one of the most powerful personalities who has shaped modem India and is responsible for its moral regeneration and religious revival”. Subhas Chandra Bose.
Is it a wonder India is in such a disarray?
Mariaji, as an outsider, you’ve done an excellent job of warning Hindus of their failures, but it seems it is all falling on deaf ears. Perhaps, the negative forces of Kaliyug are playing out its natural way.
Virtue practiced in ignorance is still ignorance.
Namaste,

I don’t see it so negatively. There’s a big difference compared to 10 years ago regarding awareness.

Very well said. However the challenge is to develop an ecosystem to challenge the present dominant theme. May be with people, the movement will gain its prominence
Assassinated? What are you talking about?

A great write up Maria.

The only issue is that Hindus are being taught to follow the Roman or Islamic way. We are still tiny tots, but we will rise up to be a Hindu nation in competition to ISIS. (This is why foreign media see us a rising threat). That is becoming the dharma of Hindu Rastra and may restore the glorious system of untouchability for another greater dharmic cause.
Those who recognise the Brahman will not see any threat!
Very apt description of what has happened over the centuries and how mankind is suffering from the stubborn attitude of some faiths. Great job…
Great article. Thank you.
Well said.
Hindus are timid and I am one among them. We won’t change.
Very confusing your comment, suppose it is meant to be sarcastic.
But if you really mean to compare Hindu Dharma with IS, you should be ashamed either of your agenda or your ignorance.
Change is possible
[…] via Letting falsehood spread is no virtue […]
I had also wondered as to the reasons of decline of great Indian civilisation .
Very objective analasyis … we need to propogate it suitably .
If you have suggestions how to propagate it suitable?? please share in your circle. On facebook someone said he wants to translate it into Hindi and another person into Marathi. But how to make it reach more people, i don’t know..
Modern science is challenging religions thinking in the western world. I would not consider Germany as a Christian country. India is diverse and your article only instills hate and discord among fellow Indians, so one “Exclusive” Dharma can emerge. Hinduism is exclusive and that is why certain class of people are not allowed in our temples. Dharma is based on serving Brahmins / to be reborn!
If your gurus have told you you will attain moksha that is because of your colour. If we were dark, they would consider you worst than an untouchable tribal girl.
God said the duty of a Shudra is to serve the upper varnas faithfully with devotion and without grumbling. (Manu 1-91) Manu is not satisfied with this. He wants this servile status of the Shudras to be expressed in the names and surnames of persons belonging to that community. Manu says:
Let the first part of a Brahman’s name denote something auspicious, a Kshatriya’s be connected with power, and a Vaishyas with wealth but a Shudra’s express something contemptible. (Manu II. 31.). One should be free to look at different religions and choose and that should Not be mixed with politics.
How does she “instill hate” by this article? By stating sheer truths? Oh, yes she should have better kept mute about these truths and better contribute to let Christians act so they could save Shudras and make them Christian dalits instead, isnt it? (irony mode). The truths of these religions are as stated: they have the duty to convert others and they get to do it in whatever way, and history proves it has been and continues to be with much deceit, suffering and destruction. So for the good of mankind and of all living creatures, it is high time to question the tenets of these two religions which are hateful themselves and threatening for the well being of the rest of the world.
Now: the topic of varnas should be understood properly. There are many others who could explain better than me, but let me say this: for ANY society to function properly, the four varnas are required are the four types of activities are equally required. And each of them should devote to their own activities fully. Varnas are not by birth but by dedication. Given all in the Hindu darshana is meant to an adhyatmic living perspective, at the end of the day, a Brahmin who devotes to be a Brahmin is serving the rest of society because his “religious” activities are not meant for himself but for the whole of mankind. And many shudras by birth have been sages whose lives were more of Brahmins of some of those described as Brahmins, in a flowing civilization that was there till Portuguese and British came to impose his western model of “caste” forcing everyone to enrol in one of the castes and so divide and conquer rule was fully successful. One thing is the spirit of the scripture and another thing the vices of any society. If some do not understand the spirit of the scriptures and act hurting people from other varnas, they are to blame and not the scripture. UNLIKE IN THE ABRAHAMIC RELIGIONS, whose spirit and letter both are meant to spread themselves as the only truth (each of them) by whatever means. And we see it happening. And that is precisely what Maria is denouncing: those tenets which are meant to destroy the other´s culture and create pain all over. And besides Smriti scriptures are contextual and should be interpreted in its context and not taking out some words of dubious translations here and there to prove our point.
Last but not least, your affirmation “Dharma is based on serving Brahmins / to be reborn!” is a twisted misleading conclusion that I do not know whether you arrived at by yourself or by following some antihindu media or writer. Dharma is a complex term that describes our position within this universe to be in harmony in all aspects, thereby by adjusting to the rta of the universe in an intermingled perspective of the reality that has in mind what in the West has been described as “material” and “spiritual” separately and erroneously. If a kshatriya forgets and abandons his duties, as it happened, the society will be at the “mercy” of the conquerors, who are merciless. If a mother forgets and abandons her Dharma towards her son, what will be of that child? If the tigers forget and abandon their Dharma, what will happen with the cycle in Nature?
Please, do not copy the West model of false equality, which has already been proved as a failure and our societies are absolutely lost, and the people completely unhappy living on antidepressants for trying to cope with role models imposed for vested interests which are unnatural. There is nothing bad in being distinct. Society needs structure to function, and all in society are equally necessary.
Well written durga ji. Very precise
I quoted directly from Manu, not from western media.
Here is another:
“The Brahmin should never invite persons of other varnas for food. In case, the latter begs the Brahmin for food, the Brahmin may give them some left-over. Even these left-over must be served not by the Brahmin but by his servants outside the house.” (Manu II2).
When one gives examples of exception and glories the varna system, then it is obvious they share a pro-Brahmin thought and want to control other sections of society.
Be it Buddhism or Sikhism, they all differ from Sanatana Dharma in that they recognise humanity and rejected the violent oppression of the varna system that Brahmins have imposed on the rest. Varna system is evil and should be buried.
The Indian ‘fundamental’ Hindu mind is in need of reform and not live in a false sense of pride.
A secular non-religions multinational company in India which allows for a platform for any person to share and interact in a caste free way is way superior to a varna system.
Indian history and our religions stories are rife with caste discrimination. We should not brain wash ourselves to think our system was superior! It is a highly oppressive system and designed not to give equal opportunity.
Consider:
“A Shudra is unfit of receive education. The upper varnas should not impart education or give advice to a Shudra. It is not necessary that the Shudra should know the laws and codes and hence need not be taught. Violators will go to as amrita hell. “(Manu IV-78 to 81)
In modern India, when caste was abolished, yes abolished because it its deep rooted in our culture, Brahmin teachers would make ‘untouchable’ kids sit outside the class, because they were led to believe that was their dharma.
Cherry picking a few quotes from Manu, and that too English translations does not address adequately prove your point about Brahmins or the Varna Jati Vyvastha. There are so many Manus in our Smriti. By the way, do you know the difference between Shruthi and Smriti? If you dont, then I consider you as culturally illiterate. For any meaningful discussion or debate both the positions need to be well versed on the topic. This debate on varna Jati needs to happen on the terms or through the lens of our shastra not through your Marxist lens. So, if you can tell me what is Shruthi and Smriti.
Maria, thank you for sharing this. What you have identified as a “Christian” and “Muslim” problem I personally think is just a human problem that goes along with tribalism and some of the ills (and strengths) of that. Hindus also aren’t without blame. The “othering” that historically went on in caste systems is atrocious in my mind. I agree wholeheartedly with you that we need to overcome our “othering” if we are to progress further in society. And I believe a big part of this starts with recognizing the beauty that each system/language of religious (and non-religious) thought has to offer. Thank you for a thought provoking article.
Thank you for the appreciation
Great post, as usual. Thanks for your sincere work, Maria
Truth cannot hide for long time, one day it will come front .
Wife burning and the Caste system, I take it you support all this in name of Hindu culture? Brahmin Hinduism became so insular that it persecuted much more benign and peaceful Buddhism and Jainism to dominate India. Of course, before the Brahmin, Hinduism was a very different religion in nature. Why don’t you start with a decent book? Actual learning rather than pasting bits from here and there.
Thanks Maria.
It takes a certain amount of understanding and selflessness to break the flow of ages of culture and adopt another. I have nothing but repect for you Maria, for you speak so highly of Sanatana Dharma. But I have an insight if you like. The real enemy in the present world is not a person from another religion. It is a person with no religion. All religions should work together to establish the rotting away faith. In the light of faith and true knowledge, I and you know which faith will win. You are a famous person. I thought it important to share this with you. Hope you dont feel offended.
Namaskar Maria,
This is absolutely amazing, a great article. Thank you so much for writing this. Thank you! I truly agree with every word of your article! Love from India
Feel to share the article
This is absolutely true! I really hope more and more people start undwrstanding this.

Hi Maria,
Every word you have said is so true, I appreciate your effort to bring out the truth to the world. Most people in India and the west are being brainwashed and i really dont know why the west is so fixated to the lies told by Anti Hindu and Anti India people.
I am following you on twitter as well. I too fight to bring out the real truth but its exhausting . Then seeing people like you who are working hard to tell the truth gives me hope and revive my zeal to carry on. Let me know if theres anything i can help you with.
thank you, nice to hear this.
